Leghaci Chronicles: 01-03

Greetings and Sal-U-TA-tions, everyone! We here at Legacyland Studios would like to apologize for the delay in releasing the newest chapter in our coverage of the Leghaci's. We thank you for your patience. So without further ado ... The Legachi Family Continues!

Last time, Laomah Legachi married Amin Sims ... who, in a very non-traditional move, took Laomah's surname. How very 21st century!

Not long after the marriage, they welcomed their first child into the family: Adam Leghaci.

A bouncing baby boy! Naturally, both parents were quite pleased.

And as Adam grew, it was discovered that he'd inherited various "unusual" genetic traits from his mother ... yet he retained some characterstics from his father as well. What a blending!

Parenthood came naturally for our founding familly, and things like "bath time" were taken in stride.

But as time always did ... it passed. And before Laomah and Amin knew ...

Their son had become a child.

So what's in store for our founding legacy family now? What's been going on since our last airing? Stay tuned!

*News Flash from LegacyLand Studios!*

***Due to circumstances beyond our control, Ms. Miss LegacyLand will no longer be the host to this fascinating docu-drama-comedy about the Leghaci Family.***

***LegacyLand Studios apologizes profusely for this unfortunate change ... but it couldn't be helped due to bugeting constraints ... as well as due to the Sims 2 Game Programminig with its inability to move sims from one lot to another thereby generating a new album. So ... with that said, we have a new policy: Subsequent Chapters of The Legachi Family MUST and WILL be Introduced by a NEW host/hostess.***

***Rest assured, Ms. Miss LegacyLand is doing fine, and plans to enjoy her new-found freedom by pursuing other interests.***

***She even bought herself a very lovely home. But her story is for another time (stay tuned for blog updates at http://anjelstar76.blogspot.com).***

***But for now ... let us introduce you to her long-lost cousin: Ms. Missy Legacyland, the hostess for this newest chapter on the Leghaci Family!***

"Let's see ... I give the introduction ... introduce myself ... introduce Ms./Mrs. Leghaci ..."

Psst! Missy! You're on!

*gasp*

"W-wHAT?! Already?!"

Take a deep breath, Missy. You'll do fine.

"Of course, I'll be fine. I'm not some creampuff young adult looking to make her big break in television broadcasting. I'm a veteran at this."

Sure you are.

"Hehe. You just surprised me is all."

What's with this family and surprises? ... Begin your intro, Missy.

"Gotcha!"

"Bon jour, buenos dias, and konichiwa, one and all! I'm Missy Legacyland (yes, lowercase "L"), cousin to Miss. I'm sorry that she couldn't say goodbye to everyone ... but it really couldn't be helped. There will be a separate segment soon in which she and I get to know one another after all these years. Keep your eyes pealed and look to http://anjelstar76.blogspot.com for updates on this development.

But all that aside, let's get back to the Leghaci Family. There have been a couple of very, VERY interesting developments as of late. Let's take it to Laomah in the field. Laomah?"

Hello, Missy. And hello to everyone else out there. A number of interesting things have taken place since the last time I talked. One of those interesting things is that I am no longer in the athletic career path. I am now a military woman. Here I am after a promotion!

"It looks to me like you got your haircut ... I reviewed the previous showings."

- And you'd be right about that, Missy. Even Amin got a little make-over ... grew a beard and everything! He's very handsome just the way he was, but he's a REAL looker now. -

But anyway here is little Adam greeting me with a warm and loving hug after I'd had a hard night's work. The hours are CRAZY ... but it's all worth it for the benefit of my little boy.

@ Mooom! I'm not a little boy anymore! @

- You'll always be my little boy, Adam. -

Here are my two favorite guys one day at breakfast ... I think it was a Saturday morning (a very beautiful day) when this picture was taken. Adam and Amin are bonding like fathers and sons should ... over a heaping pile of pancakes DRIPPING with syrup and butter. Mm-mm-mm!

"PANCAKES?! Share the WEALTH! All I can get is DELIVERY out here!"

Quit complaining, Missy. They've put you up in a very nice office.

"You call THIS a very nice office?"

Absolutely! Nice carpet, nice decorations ...

"There's a toilet in here ..."

Ummmmmm ....

"And it only has three walls ..."

Well, there is that ...

"But let's not get into this. Laomah? Tell us what else has been going on in your home since last we aired."

- Certainly! -

In the passage of time, I have discovered that I have a interest in the gardening of rare plants.

Being in the military, they told us (at orientation) that we needed to stay grounded in nature so as not to forget where we came from ... you know ... in the event of battle or something. It was all very cryptic ...

But I love digging in the dirt so it's not big thing for me to do something like this. I enjoy it just as much as Amin enjoys painting.

Shh! Adam is sleeping ... and this horticulture nursery is right outside his window. Since I really only have time to do this in the wee, early hours of the morning before heading to work, I always get a chance to look in on Adam in peaceful slumber.

He's growing up so fast!

But enough about that. It's time for work! 4 AM carpool! Can you BELIEVE it?! I'm up BEFORE the sun. Will wonders never cease?

Now ... at one point, some things happened ... some ... "unexpected things" ...

"What kinds of things?"

Well ... let me start by saying that Amin missed me. And I missed him, you see. Because I was working the crazy hours at my new job, and he was (at that time) out of work so he could stay home with Adam to make sure he was well-taken care of, we didn't really see much of each other except in passing.

Needless to say, he had a lot of time on his hands. And he admitted to me that he spent most of it thinking about me. He even painted this portrait of me (before I changed professions and got a haircut).

So ... one thing led to another (as it usually does) ...

And I found myself expecting my SECOND child! I know I mentioned in a previous airing that we would only have the one child ... but ... Amin is quite fertile. And so am I (apparently). *LOL*

"Congrats! I bet you guys are pleased."

- We couldn't be happier. -

"So how's Adam handling all of these changes?"

Well, Adam has found some little friends to play with after school ... so he's not lonely or anything. Amin and I dote on him anyway, so he's never going to feel unloved or neglected.

"Who's the girl?"

- I forget what her name is ... -

And I forget this little girl's name is as well ... Oh my ... I hope Adam doesn't grow up to be a womanizer!! *bites fingernails nervously*

But thankfully, his education still seems to be his priority. Amin tries to help him with his homework whenever he can.

And speaking of Adam's education ... I guess it was inevitable that one day Adam would ask me about babies and where they come from. *groan* I guess with me being pregnant, he got curious. But ... seeing as how he loves to soak in knowledge, Amin and I decided to "enlighten" him. Hehe.

And I don't know if it was our conversaton or what, but the very next day, Adam came home with his FIRST A+ report card! Apparently, he had a science report (oral presentation) in his class, and he talked about the human reproductive system. According to his teacher, he AMAZED everyone with his DETAILED knowledge of the subject. I don't know where he found the time to do research on the subject since he only asked me about it yesterday, but ... we're very proud of him ... and he's OVER-THE-MOON about it! *LOL*

But kissing his report card is a bit much. *LOL*

Amin (with his new, more hip style) is just as excited about this new addition to our family as he was with Adam.

And man! I'm HUGE this time around (this is me in my 3rd trimester). Some of the ladies at work have informed me that women are usually bigger with their second pregnancy ... so ... there you go!

And this pregnancy was really easy. Oh sure ... I had the usual fatigue and swelled feet ... not to mention the hunger pangs ... but other than that, it was as easy as pie! Mmmmm ... pie!

But I still hate labor. Amin was more attentive this time around and rushed into the kitchen when he heard my scream of pain.

Adam could have cared less. He's too engrossed in his remote control race car. The poor boy has been working so hard in school lately, I guess he just needed to undwind.

@ VROOOOM! @

But with me in the throes of labor, unwinding is the LAST thing on my mind.

"Well THAT'S understandable!"

- OoOOOooOW! -

~ Push, honey. PUSH! ~

- I AM pushing! -

And we were graced with another son.

Amin was ecstatic!

He started doing the "Chicken Dance" before shifting into that "Pee Wee Herman" dance (the one that goes with that "Tequila" song). Can you believe that?! *grin* My husband is SO bizarre. But I love him anyway.

"Bizarre is ONE way to look at it ..."

Yeah ... true ... but ... that's just Amin.

Anyway, let me introduce you to Brandon Leghaci. I think he has his father's hair.

"He's a very cute little boy. And I think you're right. He just MIGHT have Amin's hair! Congratulations on the new edition to your family."

- Thanks! -

"But unfortunately ... that's all the time we have for this segment! Please, stay tuned for part 4 of the Leghaci Family Documentary where you will meet yet another new host! In the meantime, I'm Missy Legacyland (lowercase "L") ... See ya around!"

And ... we're clear! Great job, Missy. Miss would be proud.

"I think I may pop in and surprise her with a visit ..."

Sounds like a plan. See ya, Missy.

"Later!"

Tune in NEXT time for more on the Leghaci Family. This is LegacyLand Studios (where you, too, ca be a sim) ... signing off.
