Leghaci Chronicles: 01-02

And Welcome back to Legacyland! In our last airing ...
... you were introduced to Laomah Leghaci!
She told us about her humble beginnings at home ...
... and in love.
She told us about loss ...
... and gain!
What's in store for this fledgeling family now?
"That's a really good question ..."
"Maybe ... I should just ... take a little peek-e-poo ..."
MISS!!!
"Whaaaaaat?!"
You shouldn't be spying on them like that. It's not right! Why don't you just ... I dunno ... ask them to tell you what happened next?
" ... *sigh* Oh ... alright!"
"We have Laomah Leghaci back in the studio with us and she's here to tell us about her life here in Legacyland. Welcome back, Laomah!"
- Hi there, Miss. It's great to be back! -
"So why don't you tell us all what's been going on since last we saw you."
- My pleasure! -

In light of our last conversation, Amin and I decided that instead of having a huge wedding party, we'd just get married in the quiet of our own home ... with just us and "The Sims 2 Goddess" as our witness. It was lovely.
And we decided that we would get started on our family right away. Why wait?

Needless to say ... the first time was the charm for us.
"I'll say!"
Poor Amin ... cleaning up after my messes. But I was so nauseous that he decided to be a helpful father-to-be. What would I do without him?

So ... I was pregnant!
~ My wife is pregnant! ~
~ And *I* got a promotion. If we're to have a family, we've got to afford a family. They put Laomah on maternity leave as soon as they found out she was pregnant. ~
- I DO plan on going back to work, you know! -
~ Yes, dear. ~
So anyway ... Amin ... *smooch*

... took to becoming a dad like he took to everything else in his life: with stride and excitement. He really was like a little kid.

After the expected three sim days ... it happened!!

I went into labor!
"Ooh! That looks like it HURTS!"
You BET it @$%!ing hurts!!
But Amin and I were blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby boy.
Amin was so excited that he burned lunch *LOL*

And we named our first son Adam. Not for any particular reason really. It's a good solid name. He looks just like me ... except for the eyes and ears. Right now, his eyes are his father's eyes. But I wonder if that will change as he ages.
Labor really wiped me out though. So I decided to use the Energizer out back.
It's a miracle of modern science! It really peps you up. I felt like a new woman.
"You definitely look peppy. I, myself, have never tried it. Some have said it's like being struck by lightning. Others say it's like being hit with a jolt of pure caffeine."
- The caffeine assessment is correct in my case. But without the side effect of loss of bladder control. *LOL* -

Amin was so proud to have a son to carry on our legacy.
And I loved little Adam with all of my heart. But ... I was kind of thinking that maybe I'd like a girl to carry on our legacy. Whether or not that happens ... I'm not sure. And if it doesn't happen, I think the first born should get the honor. And that would be my sweet, little Adam.
Now ... even though I love children, I had a feeling that Amin and I were only going to have Adam. I didn't know how I knew this ... I just did. So we both doted on him (without spoiling him). As a baby, he had every comfort.

And it wasn't too long before he transitioned to a toddler!

I never knew that Amin was a magician ...
Or maybe Adam is a marionette ... but has no strings to hold him down. *snicker* But anyway ... *ahem* we had a nice, quiet little party just for the three of us.
Adam inherited my ears! WHO KNEW? And he also has my black hair, and the same slant that my eyes have. I have a feeling that genetics went on vacation as far as the nose is concerned, but ... that's okay. ;o) As you can see, he and his daddy already have a special relationship.
But he's mama's little boy. Even when I'm old and gray and he's got children of his own. He'll always be my little guy.
After all ... I taught him his first word.
And as a thank you, he learned how to say "mommy" ... *sniffle*
I was his "bestest" friend in the whole wide SimWorld. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
He's my baby. My pride and joy.

Time passed (as it usually does), and before long ... little Adam was walking all on his own!
~ It says here that children his age shouldn't be able to walk yet! That's MY boy! ~
Don't ask how we got a camera in the bathroom (without Amin knowing), but I just COULDN'T pass up this shot. Father and son ... in the "john" ... *LOL*
As he aged, Adam seemed to gravitate towards all things creative. I'm hoping that maybe he'll be a SimWorld famous artist some day.
Amin just HAD to take this picture. I'm thinking that he wanted it for blackmail for when Adam gets older ... You've always gotta have something on your kids. Keeps them in line, don'tcha know. Hehe. Just kidding!
Ah ... Daddy and son. Aren't they the cutest together?
Now ... as per the contract that we signed (Amin and I went over it with a fine-tooth comb just to make sure we hadn't missed anything else), we began to create the portraits of the familly members. I started with Amin ... who just COULDN'T stand still! *rolls eyes*
~ My back itched ... ~
- Right ... -
I think this is the most beautiful portrait anyone has ever painted. It's a family portrait ... all three of us are in the image. Hehe. You can't plan perfection like this. It will hold a special place of honor ... somewhere in the house. Hehe.

And of course ... time marched onward!
I don't know where the time went ... but before too long, it was once again time for Adam to have a birthday. This time ... we invited our closest friends, and even a young boy from down the street that we thought Adam might like.
Happy Birthday Adam!!!
And this is Adam ... I'm sorry that there appears to be a jump in sequence ... (this is after his first day of school ... I taught him to study). You see ... the camera crapped out at the party, and we didn't get him transitioning. Stupid camera.
After his first day of homework was complete, his dad took this picture (which Adam did NOT appreciate ... but that's only because he was grouchy). It was a long day for him.
And I just HAD to put this picture in the album. This is Adam's school bus driver. I think she's on drugs or something. NO ONE can smile like that all day long. NO ONE. It's just not natural.
"Natural?! That's just FREAKY!"
- And that's where things stand right now. -
"Well, I'm happy to see that you and Amin made some fantastic progress! Can you give us a hint as to what's going to happen next?"
- Ummm ... no. Hehe -
"Well ... that's alright. I LIKE surprises..."
Sure you do.
"Hush ... Join us again soon for the third installment of The Leghaci Family. I'm your hostess Miss LegacyLand ... signing off!"
What interesting things will be in store for our first legacy family next? Stay tuned!
